Music Ministry
We thank all the musicians who provided music at the summer worship services. Your talent and time were most appreciated.

Adult Chancel Choir rehearsals are held at 7:30 pm. New members are always welcome to join.
The other music groups are also looking for new members. Rehearsal times for Adult Chancel Bell Choir, Youth Bell Choir, and Youth Choir will be announced later. Age requirements for Youth Bells and Youth Choir tend to be third through eighth grades. Some knowledge in reading music would be most helpful, but not necessary.

General Music Program Information
Our church is blessed to have a creative and talented Minister of Music, Doris Krueger. Beautiful music fills our sanctuary and is given to the Glory of God every Sunday morning. The acoustics are incredible in our renovated sanctuary. We are excited about our Casavant Freres pipe organ that was installed in our chancel in July 2004. We are blessed to have this beautiful instrument in our sanctuary to use in worship.

Gladys and Myron Hager, choir members for fifty years, serve as choral music librarians.

We have four

talented choirs:

† Chancel Choir

† Chancel Bell Choir
† Youth Choir

† Youth Bell Choir

Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir practices on Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm-9:00pm and Sunday mornings before worship at 9am, September through May. The choir sings an anthem during the Sunday service and also sings responsively. The choir does not perform during the summer so there are no practices during the summer.

Thanks Norman!

Some folks know how to share their God-given gifts. For over 45 years Norman O’Brien shared two of his gifts with his church and our choir. Norman has not only a beautiful, strong singing voice, but also a remarkable voice range that he can sing parts from basso profundo to high tenor! The second gift he has shared is a wonderful sense of humor that added so much to the fun and enjoyment of choir rehearsals.

One never knew when to expect a train whistle or animal sound that punctuated a rehearsal, but we always knew where it was coming from! While he still may join us for an occasional men’s chorus, Norman is enjoying a well-deserved retirement from our choir.

We still have fun at choir, but rehearsals have never been quite the same without Obie. Thank you, Norman, for all your years of service to our church.

The current bass section of our choir consists of baritones and tenors who would welcome some help with the low notes. If there are basso profundos hiding in our church family who would like to give the choir a try, please contact Doris Krueger or any of us in the choir.

Chancel Bell Choir

The Chancel Bell Choir has not yet resumed rehearsals. We will post it here as soon as they begin.

Youth Bell Choir

Rehearsals will resume in the fall.. All are welcome to join at that time.

Youth Choir

Rehearsals will resume in the fall. All are welcome to join at that time.

The choirs are always looking for new members. They practice on a weekly basis except during the summer. Contact the church office, 781-3413, if you are interested in joining or learning more about the choirs.
