Summary: First day of classes: Learning about each other through the lens of Imago Dei, the teaching that we are ALL made in the image of God.

Focal story/ passage– creation story in Genesis 1:2-3

Nursery– God made me picture book

Young Folks– When God was a Little Girl / In Our Image from God’s Stories (The Bible for Normal People Children’s Bible)

Older kiddos– In Our Image from God’s Stories (The Bible for Normal People Children’s Bible.

Activity– Puzzle pieces– we are all a part of God’s big, beautiful puzzle (image!)

Take home questions:

When you look at the world, what makes you say, “I like it”? When you look at yourself what makes you say “ I like me”?
Genesis 1 says people are made using God’s shape and image. In what ways do you think we are like God? In what ways are we different?

OCTOBER

October 5th: Looking for God in All the Wrong Places (Spoiler: YOU are the right place to look, you Image Bearing Wonder!)
